Expedition Himalayas
This expedition is not about taking photographs from a distance, it's about building relationships with people that live a very different life from our own.
You will be guided not just across the mighty Himalayas, but also through deep layers of cultural and ecological meaning — with care, context, and humility.
🗓️ 12th - 23rd October (12D/11N)
Discover the Soul of the Himalayas beyond mountain peaks
Price: Fill form at the end of the page.
The Western Himalayas is often sold as a destination of crisp mountain air, pine-scented hikes, and stunning snow-capped views. But tucked behind these clichés are vibrant communities whose relationship with the land, Gods, and with each other, form a rich tapestry of meaning — largely unseen by outsiders.
This Expedition is not a "luxury tour", but an immersive experience carefully organised by two professional ethnographers who live and work with local communities in a remote Himalayan village.
You'll walk with us through ancient forest trails, visit sacred sites where rituals unfold in secrecy, and be part of the living pulse of the sacred landscape of this part of the Himalayas — not from a distance, but from within.

Expedition Leaders
This expedition is led by two Cultural Researchers living and working with local communities in a remote Himalayan village. Over years of immersive ethnographic fieldwork, Vítor and Nikita have built strong relationships with local communities who have generously opened their worlds to them.
During this expedition, these worlds will be opened to you — with care, context, and respect. Your expedition leaders will take you not only across geography, but across layers of meaning: What does it mean to live here? To appease a local Deity? To feel the effects of climate change? To choose this rural life, when so many are leaving?
This is the heart of our ethnographic expedition: to learn how people live and cope with a rapidly changing world.
